Plaster Wall Primers

Plaster wall primers - Acrylic wall primers are what we recommend and is a very important part of any application process and just as important as the actual application itself. If you do not have a correct mechanical bond or adherence between the old drywall or substrate then you will not have a good application.

Two readily available water based Acrylic primers we can recommend are Benjamin Moore Fresh Start (Benjamin Moore Primers) and Kills 100% Acrylic primer with stain block (Home Depot Primers).

We generally tend to use the first over new drywall walls and surfaces that have not had any treatment before, while we would use the latter over a surface that had previously been painted, wallpapered, etc, because of it's stain block capabilities.
