County Clare history of "Dunsallagh National School" a publication written by Rena Uí Loinsigh (Rena Lynch), former teacher at Dunsallagh N.S, Miltown Malbay, Co Clare.

Containing County Clare heritage information from its opening, all registers since 1885, snippets of inspector's reports from 1885 onwards, memories of past pupils and photographs from 1929 to 1975.

Dunsallagh National School, Dunsallagh, County Clare, opened it's doors on January 12th, 1885 and for the following 90 years served a centre of education for 1209 pupils until its closure on June 30th. 1975. It served the families in the immediate hinterland of Caherogan, Carhuduff, Dunsallagh, Kildimo, Killernan, Knockbrack, Knocklioscrane, Clonlaheen, Shannaway, while pupils came from as far away as Annagh, Coore, Clonadrum, Clonaheen, Miltown Malbay, Mountscott, Mullagh, Rineen, Rockmount and many other places.
Dunsallagh National School amalgamated with three other National Schools in Miltown Malbay, St.Joseph's Boys & Girls N.S. on the first of July 1975 and Dunsallagh School became history.
